Compare cookware set contents

A lid is useful, but it is not another pan. Compare the pots, pans and sizes you will use before choosing a bigger set.

A smaller set can fill more of your gaps

Two skillets count as two pans, but you may prefer a saucepan if you already have a skillet you like. A set with a skillet, saucepan, sauté pan and large pot gives you four different shapes. Check their sizes against the portions you cook; variety alone does not make a set right for you.

Mark your owned cookware in the Gap Finder to see duplicates. Read what piece counts mean for shared lids, inserts and storage accessories.
