Find an exact-product declaration, then check the appliance manual for minimum and maximum base size.
Why no universal green tick?
The rim may be much wider than the magnetic base. Different cooktops detect different minimum sizes, and a decorative induction symbol does not override your exact product or appliance instructions. A positive magnet check is useful screening; it is not a performance test.
Pan declared compatible but not detected?
- Match the exact pan and appliance model. Note the display symbol or error code before interpreting it.
- Center the magnetic base. Try a smaller cooking zone only if its manual permits that base size.
- After cooling, inspect for rocking, distortion or debris. Measure the magnetic contact area, not the top rim.
- If another known compatible pan works on the zone, revisit this pan’s declaration and base. If neither works, follow the appliance’s model-specific fault guidance.
