Oven-safe does not mean broiler-safe
Broiler permission is a separate declaration. An oven temperature alone cannot turn an unknown broiler instruction into permission.
Check the exact configuration
Knobs, handles, sleeves and lids may have different instructions. Remove a part for oven use only if the maker permits it. Check the manual when replacing a lid.
Questions before you choose
Can an oven-safe pan go under the broiler?
Only with separate broiler permission for the exact product. An oven limit alone is not enough.
What if the lid limit is lower?
For covered cooking, use the lower applicable limit. If either limit is unknown, covered-oven use cannot be confirmed here.
