What pans work on a glass top stove?
Use a clean, stable, flat base and lift the pan instead of dragging it. Radiant glass and induction both have glass surfaces; induction also needs a compatible magnetic base.
Check the bottom before the material
Whirlpool’s glass-care guidance calls for flat cookware and warns against sliding it. Inspect a cool pan for rocking and rough debris. A cast iron label alone does not establish whether the pan suits the appliance.
Fit the cooking area
Check your appliance manual for allowed base sizes and weight. The table lists products whose makers permit radiant or ceramic-glass cooking; it also shows induction separately because a glass surface can cover either heating system. A declared compatible pan can still scratch if dragged or have a base that does not fit your cooking zone.
