Measuring oats by the cup

Use dry regular or quick oats. This is not a cup of cooked oatmeal or steel-cut oats.

Level dry ingredients with a flat edge instead of leaving a heap, and read liquids on a flat surface at eye level. When a recipe gives grams, a kitchen scale is the surest way to match it.
